After the recorded rains in the last week in San Luis Potosidams in the state are given a break with respect to their filling levels.
In this sense, the rains have fallen in some regions of the state of San Luis Potosí, according to the National Water Commission (CONAGUA). The areas benefited so far are Plateau and the Middle area.
However, in the downtown area Precipitation has been recorded in the municipalities of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez and San Luis Potosí. Meanwhile, in the Middle area, The rains have been concentrated in the municipalities of Tierra Nueva and Cerritos.
After rains, San Luis Potosí dams take a break
Consequently, a change is observed in the storage levels of the main dams of San Luis Potosí. According to the most recent information from the WITH WATERas of June 10, 2024.
That is, some dams show variations in their percentages that are vital for water supply and agricultural activities in the region:
- San José Dam: 6.5%
- Toll: 4.7%
- El Potosino: 0.7%
- Cañada de Lobo: 18.0%
- Valentine Range: 1.0%
- The Doll: 20.9%
- La Lajilla Dam: 21.0%
- El Realito Dam: 5.7%
These rains are a momentary relief, although the levels of some dams are still worryingly low, highlighting the urgency of continuing to promote responsible water use.
