At least four people have been murdered in recent weeks in the municipality of Bosconia, Cesar, a figure that draws the attention of local authorities who are issuing an alert regarding the need to deploy security strategies that allow for restoring tranquility to the inhabitants of the territory. .

The mayor of the municipality, Jorge Patiño, announced that he has sought the support of departmental authorities and public forces to take actions to confront the wave of crime, whose main motives are being investigated by the authorities.

“In Bosconia we only have 26 police officers to handle serving 40 thousand inhabitants, a situation that shows the shortcomings that exist in terms of prevention and security. “I have been in contact with the Commander of the National Police in Cesar, Eduardo Chamorro, to coordinate a response to this unfortunate situation,” said the mayor.

As will be remembered, the most recent case occurred last Thursday night, June 6, in the 20 de Mayo neighborhood, where two men were shot to death and a woman was injured, while they were sharing in the vicinity of the sector’s field. Four days earlier, another murder was recorded in the bar sector, a busy area that requires better security actions.

He announced the holding of a Security Council to analyze what is happening and undertake effective security actions with the support of the National Police. “It is not confirmed whether the recent murders are related to settling scores between criminal gangs, micro-trafficking or other crimes,” he said.
