In Bogota The new day of cultural and musical festivals for 2024 is getting ready. Starting next June 15, Bogota residents will be able to enjoy different concerts.

The first of all is the festival Joropo to the Parkwhich will take place on June 15 and 16 in the Plaza de Bolívar, where the Song of works of the Llanowhich are part of the Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

And the llanera culture has permeated not only the eastern region, but also the capital, which increasingly enjoys the traditions of the Colombian plain.

Joropo al Parque Festival: Guest artists for the 2024 concert

The festival will be full of outstanding proposals and participation of the best artists in the region as in previous editions.

“The objective of this festival is to recognize Bogotá artists and give them a space for visibility in the city, through a massive event that recognizes the contribution that traditional folklore has made in Bogotá, a folklore that represents us nationally in different competitions and international circuits that have become popular in summer festivals in Europe. The purpose is to offer citizens quality artistic and cultural offerings for free,” John Moreno Riaño, curator of the festival, told Semana.

For this edition, The festival will have eight selected groups for the creativity and coherence of the llanera representation. These groups will receive a financial incentive of $5,500,000.

Among the artists who have been highlighted by Idartes are Oscar Curvelofrom Vichada and Laguna Brava EnsembleMeta – Vichada.

For their part, among those summoned on a district basis are Néstor Rozo and his group, Héctor Vela and his llanero ensemble, Valentino Caroprese Piano Joropo, Libardo Olarte & Araguaney, Amanda Betancourt – La Dulzura del joropo, Onda Nueva Llanera, Agrupación Catire Acevedo and The Harp in tradition.

It will also have a ‘Llanodrome‘, which will give start on June 16 from 9 in the morningbefore the musical presentations.

For this event, groups such as Orinoco Profesional, Aznad Foundation, Kiribumba Folkloric Group, Alma Libre, Raíces Ancestrales and Orinoco Tradicional will participate.
