The prosecutor asked the court last week to rule with a “childhood and gender perspective.” It was in her closing argument to the trial in which she also requested that the accused be convicted as the perpetrator of the crime of repeated simple sexual abuse (three acts), aggravated by the condition of guardian.
“It is known that in this type of case, the victims’ story usually constitutes the only direct evidence of the accusation that exists,” said Rivero, who in any case clarified that during the trial “other testimonies were produced that show that “the events occurred and that FHM is the author.”
Furthermore, the prosecutor, who during the trial was assisted by agent Marcos Campos, explained that in total, there were two abuses to one of the victims and the remaining to the other, and as she stated, the accused committed them in the same context: in circumstances in which the girls were left in their care in a home in Rincón de los Sauces.
This Tuesday, in a verdict reading hearing, judges Marco Lupica Cristo, Luciano Hermosilla and Carina Álvarez announced the resolution they took unanimously and declared the responsibility of the accused.
The representative of the Public Prosecutor’s Office appreciated that the court took into account the testimony of the victims, obtained through the Gesell Camera in the town of Rincón de los Sauces, to arrive at the conviction.
He groped a girl in Aluminé
On the other hand, another court declared a man from Aluminé responsible for having sexually abused a girl in his family, at the request of the prosecutor in the case Laura Pizzipaulo.
On June 6, after listening to the parties, the single-person court headed by Judge Diego Ruiz Chavarría declared EEZ criminally responsible for the crime of simple sexual abuse, as the perpetrator.
In the closing argument made on Wednesday, June 3, the prosecutor maintained that the event occurred and that the accused was the author of the sexual assault that the girl suffered, in the month of July 2022, at the home of a relative located in the town of Aluminé.
The defender of Children and Adolescents, Natalia Díaz, who intervened on behalf of the girl, did the same.
Now, the Judicial Office must set the date and time of the hearing in which the sentence that the convicted person must serve will be determined.
