Storm in Chile: check here how much water has fallen in your city

Without going any further, this Tuesday, June 11, the Government of President Gabriel Boric itself made the decision to decree State of Catastrophe for the Biobío regiona product of the havoc that the rainfall has caused in that area.

“We have decided to decree Constitutional State of Catastrophe in the Biobío region as a result of the heavy rains”, were the president’s words on his X account (formerly Twitter).

However, the communes of the Biobío region are not the only ones in which heavy rainfall in the last hours.

After heavy rains: How much water has fallen in my city?

The network of automatic stations of the Meteorological Directorate of Chile (DMC) and the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC), have the “Automatic Online Stations” platform where you can view the amount of millimeters of water that fall in the different cities of Chile.

Specific, the platform delivers an update every 15 minutes of the amount of water that is registered in the various cities of the country.

To check how much rain has fallen in your commune, you must enter the website of the platform (available here) and locate the closest station on the map to where you live.

After clicking a place on the mapthe platform will specify the temperature that is in the selected area, the percentage of humidity and the amount of water that has fallen in the last few hours.
