“The intention is that the family does not go on vacation anxious, our intention is that we can have the grade and the average and that this will be known in the month of December. There they will know if they have entered or not, we think that according to our schedule and calendar, it will be respecting those dates,” said Barrozo in dialogue with MDZ.

The DAD is also another of the schools that Mendoza students can enter.

One thing to keep in mind is that the choice of the young person and the family about which college to go to will continue to be valid. This means that one can choose whether to go to CUC, Martín Zapata, Liceo Agrícola, DAD, among others. “It will happen when, after the break, the family pre-registers the child. We are going to have a form filled out so that they can tell us which school they want to go to and what orientation they want to receive. That is saved and after the exam date we will locate based on the average,” highlighted the person in charge of the Secondary School area at the UNWhose.

“Today we have this proposal, but nothing lasts forever, we are making decisions within the framework we have today. This new system serves and is superior to the system we had. Everything is part of a process and in that process is the assessment. We have always had exams, they are necessary and are part of the measurement. We are going to take two exams and the option is superior because the students are not only called to take them, but also that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the journey,” Barrozo commented to this medium.

The step by step to follow to enter UNCuyo schools

1- Assignment of vacancies: it will be carried out in accordance with the order of merits that arise from the evaluation that the applicants obtain in the leveling.

2- Pedagogical positioning: the objective of leveling is to develop skills and strengthen primary level graduation competencies in Language and Mathematics. The leveling evaluation will be in person and focused on these skills.

3- Course: the leveling course may be hybrid and include virtual learning environments. It will have a minimum of meetings.

4- Accessibility: the knowledge will be available to all applicants regardless of their geographical or socioeconomic condition. They will be accessible from any technological device and will be available in the university library network.

5- Evaluation: it will be in person with a reasonable period of time between the Language evaluation and the Mathematics evaluation. The assessment will focus on the graduation competencies in the areas of Language and Mathematics established by the university and provincial curricular designs.

6- Pre-registration: the University may establish a criterion based on previous school history, considering its real capacity to provide in-person opportunities to those who wish to enter. Notwithstanding this, the leveling will be open to all students in the province based on the lines of action agreed between the DGE and UNCUYO.

7- Order of merits: will determine the assignment of vacancies and will be established according to the percentage grade that arises from the average of the partial grades obtained by students in the Language and Mathematics evaluations. The position that each applicant obtains in the order of merit will determine their entry into the 1st year of the schools and will also give priority to the choice of modality, school and orientation.

8- Tie situations: when two or more students have an identical percentage grade and their position in the order of merit implies the need for the exclusion of one/the inclusion of another/or the establishment of priorities for one/s over the other/ s, a draw will be held.
