For the crime of illegal possession of a firearm, a 26-year-old young man identified as Jesús Rodríguez was captured in flagrante delicto in the invasion neighborhood of Francisco Javier de Valledupar. The arrest was made during registration, control and background check activities.by uniformed members of the Valledupar Metropolitan Police.
At the time the authorities carried out a search on Rodríguez They found a handmade firearm in his possession.16 millimeter caliber, without the corresponding legal documentation.
“The capture of this individual and the seizure of the firearm without legal permission are key actions in our fight against crime. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety of our citizens“said Colonel Alex Durán, commander of the Valledupar Metropolitan Police.
Rodríguez was made available to the Attorney General’s Office to be tried by the crime of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.
