Civil Aeronautics firefighters train in the Casanare Air Group » FREE PRESS CASANARE

19 young people from the Civil Aeronautics Firefighters course 050 participated in intensive training in the Casanare Air Group, led by highly qualified military personnel, which provided an introduction to operational safety and standardized procedures for the evacuation of victims in emergency scenarios.

The main exercise consisted of simulating a plane crash, in which the participants had to help different patients. This process included the execution of all Prehospital Care (PHC) procedures, which involve a series of critical actions and decisions to prevent fatal consequences or any future disability of the patient during a health crisis or emergency.

The training of these 19 young firefighters is rigorous and complete. Initially, they receive three months of theoretical training in the country’s capital, where they acquire fundamental knowledge about fire control, evacuation, personnel rescue and other essential procedures. Subsequently, they apply this knowledge in practical exercises, such as the one carried out in GACAS, to reinforce their preparation and skills in real situations.

This comprehensive approach ensures that future civil aviation firefighters are fully prepared to face any eventuality and safeguard people’s lives in emergency situations.

The Colombian Air Force carries out inter-institutional training and training, essential for both the development and strengthening of highly trained firefighters.
