The Mayor’s Office Valleduparthrough its Culture Office, has taken a step towards the promotion and preservation of cultural heritage of the city with the approval of two important calls.

Are initiativesannounced after a session of the Parafiscal Contribution Committee, will have an investment close to the $400 millionaimed at strengthening cultural identity and supporting the artists local.

The First callcalled ‘Old Valledupar Night’, assigns a budget of $65 million, specifically aimed at cultural managers over 60 years of age. This project aims to recognize and support the invaluable contribution of these cultural leaders to the development of the city, through the delivery of three significant stimuli.

On the other hand, the second call, under the name of ‘Valledupar on Stage’, has a more robust investment of $371,454,915. This program is designed to strengthen the local cultural sceneproviding a vital space for music, dance and theater artists to connect, collaborate and grow professionally. With a total of 30 incentives to be awarded, including 15 for music groups, 10 for dance groups and 5 for theater groups, each incentive represents crucial support for artistic development in the region.

Jaivis Fernando Andrademunicipal councilor of Culture, expressed his satisfaction with these approvalshighlighting the positive impact they will have on the community cultural from Valledupar.
