Yopal teachers, during the mobilization yesterday of the national strike, stood in front of the Municipal Education Secretariat to demand speed in the processing of social benefits.
Juvenal Carrillo, President of the Casanare Teachers’ Union, SIMAC, reported that a group of teachers gathered in front of the Municipal Education Secretariat to demonstrate and demand a prompt resolution to their requests for benefits from teachers, who have denounced the slowness in the processing of retirement pensions and loss of work capacity, some of which have not been recognized for more than a year.
The protesters pointed out that the Social Benefits Office of the Ministry of Education has been excessively slow and bureaucratic in its management. “The delay in issuing the necessary administrative acts is seriously affecting many teachers who are waiting for the recognition of their rights,” said Carrillo.
Teachers demand that the Municipal Education Secretariat take immediate measures to expedite these processes. “It is urgent that the administrative acts be issued without errors and in a timely manner, so that the Fiduprevisora can approve them and make the corresponding payments,” he said.
