As part of the commemoration of the 452 years of Villa de Leyva, there will be an official visit by the director of the National Police in search of strengthening security.
This June 11 and 12, different cultural and artistic activities are being carried out with the presence of thousands of tourists who will be able to enjoy Colombian and Boyacá culture. Well, the municipality’s bakers’ union came together to prepare a birthday cake for more than 2,000 people.
On the other hand, Mayor Víctor Gamboa pointed out that on June 12 there will be formal events with the participation of educational institutions, the war band of the National Army and the presence of General William Salamanca, director of the National Police. who will be decorated.
“It is the first official visit that he makes with these new rulers, new mayors and in the particular case because for us it is a pride and an honor to have the director general of the police to whom we are going to present a decoration, the Andrés Díaz decoration. Venero de Leyva in a gold necklace, which is the highest decoration given by the municipal mayor to the people who have contributed to the municipality,” said the local leader.
Likewise, he indicated that what is sought with this visit is to strengthen security, which is why they have already announced different results in terms of the dismantling of criminal gangs dedicated to theft from residences.
