A young man was arrested for a brutal crime in the city of Santa Fe

Orlando Oliva was 50 years old and lived homeless in the downtown area of ​​the city of Santa Fe. He was attacked in a brutal manner on Friday, February 23 of this year. The aggressor caused very serious injuries to his chest and head, mainly to his face.

His dying body was found by the police at the intersection of Hipólito Irigoyen and 25 de Mayo streets. An ambulance then took him to Cullen Hospital, where he died after eight days, on Saturday, March 2. After various intelligence tasks, this Thursday the Investigative Police (PDI) arrested the alleged perpetrator of the incident, a 28-year-old young man.

The incident under investigation occurred minutes before midnight that Friday and the victim was initially assisted by personnel from the Motorized Brigade, who went to the scene due to calls from neighbors to the 911 Emergency Center due to a fight between several people.

The case was left in the hands of prosecutor Estanislao Giavedoni, who ordered different measures to PDI detectives.

After meticulous work, the specialists managed to determine the identity of the perpetrator of the crime, whose initials are LQ, 28 years old.

This young man was caught this Thursday, very close to the scene of the homicide, in the 2400 block of Hipólito Irigoyen Street.

The suspect was lodged at police headquarters, at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
