A judge sent three members of the Gulf Clanthe country’s main criminal gang, for its responsibility in the massacre of three people last year in Villanueva (Casanare), the Prosecutor’s Office reported this Thursday.
This is Ligia Ospina Rodríguez, alias Libis; Gilberto Echeverry Arenas, known as Pueblo, and José David Trillos Ortiz, whom they call Costeño, who are members of the Gonzalo Oquendo Urrego group of the Gulf Clanaccused of executing crimes and coordinating activities related to drug trafficking in Casanare and GoalThe Prosecutor’s Office detailed in a statement.
According to the accusing body, Ospina Rodríguez was in charge of order the murders and manage the sale of drugswhile Echeverry Arenas and Trillos Ortiz worked as group hitmenso they were the ones who, apparently, committed the crime.
“Apparently, all three victims were murdered because they would have failed to comply with the guidelines and restrictions imposed by the Gulf Clan in the region,” the information added.
For these facts, The three detainees were charged with the crimes of aggravated homicide and aggravated manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms or ammunition.charges that were not accepted by these people.
