The Political Bureau agreed to grant the province of Sancti Spíritus the headquarters of the central commemorative event for the 71st anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.
When adopting this decision, the stability of the province was taken into account in the fulfillment of the main tasks in the economic, political and social spheres, to which production and service workers, farmers, intellectuals have contributed in a sustained manner. and other sectors of Sancti Spiritus society.
Sancti Spíritus, like the other provinces, is not exempt from the complexities that the country is experiencing. Given these insufficiencies and problems, actions aimed at their solution are appreciated.
The province has developed a system of work and coordination of tasks that guarantees the direct and systematic link between the structures of the Party and the Government with the communities.
Maintains timely monitoring and control of compliance with the Economy and Budget Plan, with positive results in total net sales, retail trade circulation, exportable funds and the reduction of companies with losses.
In the agricultural sphere, compliance with the cold campaign is confirmed. The evaluations of the National Group of the Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture Program endorse it as one of the best provinces in the country. It shows favorable results in the food industry plans.
Likewise, it reflects stability in wide-ranging social programs related to education, sports and health. It had an infant mortality rate of 4.7 per thousand live births at the end of 2023, and it maintains 2.7 to date, the lowest in the country. In the sphere of culture, it means the development of community work and the preservation of heritage.
The province also shows progress in the development of tourism, transportation, internal trade and computerization.
The science and innovation management system, led by the leadership of the Party and the Government, with the active participation of the “José Martí Pérez” University, exhibits a favorable impact in different sectors and in local development projects.
The Political Bureau also agreed to extend this recognition to our heroic people, who demonstrate with concrete actions and achievements that there is no force or empires, no matter how powerful they may be, capable of subduing us.
The celebration of July 26 will constitute, as always, a moment of revolutionary reaffirmation and a special boost to the economic, social and defense tasks carried out by our people, aware that it is the best tribute to our undefeated Commander in Chief Fidel.
