During the early morning hours of this Thursday, June 13, personnel from the Rural Operational Unit 1 of the San Juan Police carried out a procedure at the phytosanitary control of the town of Vallecito, in Caucete, where they intercepted the driver of a car, which had been stolen in La Rioja. The procedure on route 141 was part of the Special Flagrant System and was carried out together with Gendarmerie personnel.

Police and federal force officials were carrying out a vehicle and transportation control of meat products entering San Juan. At that checkpoint, a man was interviewed, who was identified as Alexis Ariel Ruarte, 30 years old, who lives in the town of Chepes, in La Rioja, who was driving a Volkswagen Gol car and had a suspicious attitude.

The police and national force officials asked him for the documentation of the vehicle, he presented an apocryphal driver’s license and he was arrested for the crime of use of false documentation.

Hours later, information was requested about the ownership status of the vehicle and it was found that there was a request for kidnapping for the crime of car theft from the neighboring province.
