ABOUT THE MEETING IN BUENOS AIRES

Convened by the Vaad Hakehilot, which operates within the AMIA, the day will bring together, on June 25, governors from all over the country and presidents of the Jewish communities of Argentina, with the aim of renewing the commitment to the exercise of memory and denounce the impunity still in force in the cause of the attack.

This is a federal meeting of remembrance and tribute to 85 fatal victims of the attack perpetrated, 30 years ago, against the headquarters of Pasteur 633.

In the AMIA auditorium, an institutional event will be held that day to renew the demand for justice, and then travel through the so-called “Memory Corridor”, a route close to the entity’s headquarters, in which, through different artistic interventions, tribute is paid to the people who lost their lives in the massacre perpetrated on July 18, 1994.

The federal day is part of the framework of the Month of Remembrance, an initiative that the institution develops throughout the 30 days prior to the anniversary of the attack, to consolidate the exercise of memory and prevent this crime against humanity, even unpunished, fall into oblivion.
