Mayor’s Office announces that it will invest 1,463 million pesos in the San José commune

The “Government in the Street” program reached the San José commune, where, in addition, the officials, together with the mayor, Jorge Eduardo Rojas, toured most of the neighborhoods, in which the voices of the inhabitants were heard. from each of the sectors, who presented their needs and concerns.

The municipal administration made commitments ranging from infrastructure works, to maintenance of roads and drains, repair of pavements, recovery of five sports venues, sprinklers, improvement of lighting, security, among others, worth $1,463 million.

The Mayor highlighted that most of the community’s requests will be resolved by the Municipal Administration: “it took three hours, we went around the commune completely, showing what the community has identified. I want to make something clear, and that is that the San José macroproject had more or less blocked the investment capacity of the municipality, that is, the municipality said that everything had to be done through a macroproject, no more, we are the ones doing it. What to do is social investment, just as we do in any commune of the city, what is social investment; “fixing the pitches, five sports venues that we found in poor condition, all of them are going to be fixed by the municipality, they have already been evaluated and valued, they are large investments.”

The community referred to the Mayor’s visit to the San José commune.

“I think it is very good that they come, they remember the commune, everything here San José, because it also belongs to Manizales and we would like it not to be the first time, that it be repeated, so that they give us solutions to the problems we have in the commune”, Rosario Erazo.

“It’s wonderful that the mayor is willing to listen to the communities. that is very key; a ruler who is not in constant dialogue with the communities because he is oblivious to the problems of the city, and coming to the territory, listening to the people’s problems firsthand, all the needs, is satisfactory,” Piedad Jurado.

“It gives us a lot of importance, because that way he knows how the neighborhood is, how invaded it is, and when he sees it, he puts more programming for the neighborhood,” Analiez Quintero
