The stabilization process begins in La Rioja for about a thousand interim workers

Saturday, June 15, 2024, 10:26 p.m.

Around a thousand interim employees appeared this Saturday in the stabilization competition, a process that seeks to reduce the high temporary employment of the public sector, after the European Union recommended that Spain reduce the interim employment to 8%.

This Saturday’s day was the first of the opposition competition called to fill 32 places in 22 specialties which consisted, as reported by ANPE-Rioja, in the written development of a topic. Starting next week, applicants will read their exam in front of the court and will face part B of the test, which consists of the presentation of a teaching unit. Only those who pass the test will be able to access the competition phase and, depending on their final grade, obtain one of the places offered.

Precisely, from ANPE, the majority union in education, they denounced “the inefficient administrative management of the Ministry of Education in the late publication of the composition of the courts”, which is generating uncertainty, unrest and discomfort among the opponents.

The tests take place just days after the CJEU endorsed this week that the Administration’s long-term interim contracts become indefinite as a system to restore the discrimination represented by the years they have lived at work in that situation of instability.
