Prosecutor’s Office reveals details of how the crime occurred.

Upon arriving at a village in the upper sector of Coyhaique, two of those involved got out, including the accused charged today, who – armed with firearms – approached the victim whom they threatened to get into the car.

This Saturday, the Coyhaique Local Prosecutor’s Office formalized a subject for the crime of kidnapping, an event that occurred on the afternoon of June 3 in Coyhaique. The accused was arrested in Puerto Aysén by detectives from the PDI Anti-Narcotics Brigade for micro-drug trafficking.

According to what was stated at the hearing by the chief prosecutor of Coyhaique, José Moris, on June 3 around 3:00 p.m., the 20-year-old defendant along with two other subjects were traveling on public roads in a white vehicle. . Upon arriving at a village in the upper sector of Coyhaique, two of those involved got out, including the accused charged today, who – armed with firearms – approached the victim whom they threatened to get into the car.

Once inside the cell phone, the defendants continued to threaten the victim with firearms, taking her through various streets until leaving her in the vicinity of a public area, located in the Tejas Verdes sector of Coyhaique. In this case, the investigative proceedings were requested by the Public Ministry from the Homicide Brigade of the PDI.

As part of this investigation, last Thursday around 7:55 p.m., personnel from the PDI Anti-Narcotics Brigade went to the defendant’s home in Puerto Aysén, where he was caught in possession of two nylon bags with cannabis sativa, with a gross weight of 25 grams, cash and a digital scale, items that were in the defendant’s bedroom.

At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, the accused was placed in preventive detention by the Guarantee Court, which established a period of 80 days for the completion of the proceedings.

Another detainee

Within the framework of this case, on June 4 at around 02:27 in the morning, another defendant, who was formalized as an accessory by the Prosecutor’s Office, was caught driving the vehicle used for the kidnapping, along Almirante Simpson Street in this commune. .

In this circumstance, it was inspected by Carabineros personnel from the First Police Station, who realized that the cell phone had the smell of chlorine, to hide the effects of the crime and prevent its discovery.

For this second defendant, who has already been formalized, the Public Ministry requested precautionary measures of national and communal roots, in addition to the prohibition of approaching the victim of this incident, a request that was accepted by the Guarantee Court.
