Tunja, June 21, 2024. (UACP). The ‘NATUS DE CAELUM’ astronomy group of the Marco Aurelio Bernal de Garagoa Industrial Technical Educational Institution recently participated in the International Apollo Competition of the Albireo Scientific Culture Foundation, the University of Malaga (Spain) and the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA). ), in collaboration with various entities.

On this occasion, several teachers of Spanish Language, Social Sciences and Technology joined together with transversal work, which involves the scientific and astronomical part, to present different alternatives that allow generating trips to greater distances with humans.

According to teacher Alexander Martínez, the students of the institution presented six projects. These are one of robotics and another of multimedia, as well as two of narrative and two of artistic in the drawing line, of which four qualified and two students were certified by the organizers of the contest: Laura Valentina Alfonso Castillo and Mariana Dayana Molina Arevalo.

Teachers Miguel Niño, from the Social Area, and Juan Pablo Franco from the Philosophy Area, who were the leaders in the social part, actively participated in this process. Likewise, Yenifer Parra and Danghelly Rodríguez, from Lengua Castellana.

The projects were related to space exploration, taking into account the history, latest and future projects on aerospace engineering. In addition, some scientific data was contributed by representatives of the Colombian Astronomy Network (RAC).
