Within the framework of the commemorative activities for the 203rd anniversary of the passage to immortality of General Martín Miguel de Güemes, tomorrow, June 17, the Güemesian Institute of Salta will hold the traditional Session of the Guemesian Academy that has been held uninterruptedly since 1977.
On the occasion, the main research of the Institution prepared by its senior academics will be presented. It will take place in the Conference Room of the Historical Town Hall of Salta (Caseros 549), starting at 6:30 p.m.
In the activity, which is sponsored by the General Directorate of Institutional Contributions of the Ministry of Government, Human Rights and Labor, academic Martín Miguel Güemes Arrubarrena will speak with the presentation “Dr. Manuel Antonio de Castro 1772 – 1832, teacher of Güemes and friend of Belgrano, his intellectual influence in the struggles for freedom and independence “and the academic Fanny Pérez with the presentation” Martín Güemes, Autonomous Governor of Salta (1815 – 1821 )”.
