“We are a model of tourism management in Argentina and that we are recognized by another country means that our vision and results transcend borders,” highlighted the Minister of Tourism, José María Arrúa.

The Province received its certificate of adhesion at an International Fair held in Uruguay. The articulation between different public and private organizations consolidates the work in the tourism production chain.

Within the framework of the International Fair on Smart Tourist Destinations, held in Montevideo, Uruguay, Misiones becomes the first provincial state to join the Ibero-American Network of Smart Tourist Destinations.

From the organization, upon accepting the membership request, they expressed that “we greatly value the active participation of the Ministry of Tourism of Misiones in our network and we are sure that their experience and leadership in the tourism sector will be a valuable contribution to our collective efforts to promote the sustainable development of tourism in the Ibero-American region.”

For his part, the head of the provincial tourism portfolio stated that “we are proud to receive this mention. He talks about the positive impact of the public policies implemented by the province and the commitment of all actors, both in the public and private sectors. We are a tourism management model in Argentina and the fact that we are recognized by another country means that our vision and results transcend borders.”

The Ibero-American Network of Smart Tourist Destinations consists of a common and coordination space whose mission is to promote inter-administrative and public-private collaboration to place destinations at the center of attention of public tourism policies, promoting synergies and facilitating the necessary transfer of knowledge. .

In the context of the fair, the Network held its seventh Plenary Commission and the respective certificates were delivered to the new members.

Its purposes are to promote the development of smart tourist destinations and promote the exchange of experiences and best practices at an international level.
