On Wednesday, June 16, 1965, the then head of that organization, Dr. Néstor Corte, and the members of the Honorary Advisory Council of the Municipal Museum of Visual Arts, which included Messrs. Dr. Isaac Aizenberg, director of the Rosa Galisteo de Rodríguez Provincial Museum of Fine Arts; Ricardo Supisiche, representative of plastics and César Borda, director of the Municipal Institute.

On the occasion, the officials considered different proposals to cover the museum’s activity during the 1965 season, among which the holding of the First Annual Salon of Applied Arts, under the auspices of the National Arts Fund and the first of its kind with upholstery, jewelry, poster design and other applied arts.

Another important exhibition of the season, which was organized at that meeting, was the Hall of Aboriginal Crafts of Chaco, with glasses, jugs, and pots of red pottery, without glaze (terracotta), made by Toba aboriginal artisans, according to traditional systems. of elaboration and preserving individuality and absolute freedom of creation.

For its part, the Cinematography Institute of the National University of the Litoral held an educational exhibition in the museum facilities, with film projections. And an exhibition of paintings from Trieste was held, under the auspices of the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires. “This exhibition, which is presented for the first time in South America, contains works by four painters from Trieste who are prominent in the new generation of European artists and who have arrived in our country under the auspices of the Círculo Triestino, the Institute of Italian Culture and the Federation General of Italian Societies of Argentina,” said El Litoral.

Likewise, at the meeting, the exhibition was organized in tribute to Juan de Dios Mena and another dedicated to the engravings of José Guadalupe Posada, which was personally managed by Dr. Isaac Aizenberg “during his recent stay in Mexico.”
