As a result of the technical meetings of the teaching partnership, the provincial Ministry of Education presented the progress for the continuity of the competition for promotion to management positions at the Initial, Primary and Special (IPE), Secondary and its modalities levels. As a first step, last Tuesday the 11th, the provisional list of “admitted teachers” was published, a mandatory process carried out by the Teacher Escalation Boards and which for some reason was ignored last year when training for the bankruptcy process began.

After admission, the schedule will continue with the modules of the training cycle that remain to be carried out -from 2 to 5-, with changes in relation to taking exams with a certain percentage of approval and with different contents, which were adjusted more to the priority policies of the current administration.

“When we took office, we found ourselves with the first module made and presented by the teachers and with the registration of all those interested, but without the admission process. So now what we are doing is precisely that, the admission lists. And We present the state of progress in the technical joint meeting,” explained Carolina Piedrabuena, Secretary of Education of the ministry.

The official said that many registered for the contest and had not presented module 1 and others did not meet the conditions established by the regulations. “That will be on the portal until June 27. When each teacher enters, they will see if they must make a claim for admission, which is what the Boards will evaluate; and from June 28, the recursive stage begins. For the The final lists should be published on July 5,” he said.

In summary, Piedrabuena explained that all applicants must meet two conditions: be admitted according to the requirements established in the formal call (seniority, position to be held, background, etc.) and also have presented the activities of module 1. “The teachers will be rejected if they do not meet both requirements,” the secretary warned. And she added that “this is the formal process that, it seems incredible, but was not done.”

About 15 thousand registered and two classrooms

The schedule continues on July 8 when the training cycle resumes, with the four modules that remain to be taught. “There will be two virtual classrooms: one for the 13,774 candidates for the promotion contest, and another for the 2,207 people who, not yet participating in the contest, would like to have the training cycle completed to add points,” highlighted Piedrabuena.

Applicants to participate in the contest had to comply with the conditions determined in Decree No. 3029/12, at the time of registration: the requirements required by the regulations for the position they intend to compete for, have a training cycle and take the opposition (or exam) before the corresponding jury.

Modules with exams on Saturdays

“We left module 1 and everyone who presented the work, we are going to consider it approved. But from module 2 onwards, everyone will have an exam and must pass with 60% to continue to the next one. That is to say “If they do not pass module 2, they are left out of the competition,” explained the Secretary of Education, who said that the idea of asking for “a little more demand” is to emphasize the training of human resources that will reach senior positions.

The modules will be taught one month each: the 2nd will be in July; module 3 in August; the 4th in September; and the 5th in October. The evaluation of each of them will be virtual on Saturdays. “Meanwhile, on November 9, the evaluation (opposition exam) will be given in person and in writing by Juries from three zones: north, center and south,” he said.

Other contents

This management also defined modifications to the contents of the remaining training. “We focus on issues that have to do with leadership and the role of management teams,” highlighted the official.

Among the topics that will be addressed are: knowledge of regulations, leading managers of provincial educational policy, the importance of collaborative work, personal and institutional communication, practices to innovate as management teams. Other topics address specific issues of the different levels and modalities with emphasis on the monitoring of trajectories, the Raíz literacy plan, institutional evaluation, thinking about a transformative curriculum, management of school data, inclusion, social model of disability, environmental barriers , high capacities, ICTs, among others.

“The contents and bibliographic material are uploaded on the platforms, along with videos from educators such as Claudia Romero, Beatriz Diuk. In all chapters there are instances of self-evaluation and monitoring of the texts,” Piedrabuena noted.

“We define as a methodology that the inauguration of positions in all bankruptcy processes will always be at the beginning of the school year and not in the middle of the year, so as not to alter the pedagogical continuity. Therefore, if the Jury of this competition ends the correction of the exams on time, the new directors will take their positions in 2025”, highlighted Carolina Piedrabuena.
