More than 23,000 minors in Antioquia benefited from donations for their schools

In the municipalities of Amalfi, Sonsón, San Luis and San Francisco; 106 educational locations, Of them, 14 urban and 92 rural locations received provisions in educational spaces. This through the tax works project where, in coordination with different companies, the donation was made that will benefit 23,870 students in the department.

This initiative made possible the commitment of public-private alliances where the communities where the companies operate were strengthened, improving the quality of life of their inhabitants, with an investment that exceeded 4.5 billion pesos.

Mauricio Alviar Ramírez, Secretary of Education of Antioquia, explained how these resources will be reflected in the benefited schools: “It was donated in terms of resources for the library, furniture for the libraries, physics and chemistry laboratories, provision of kitchen items, food preparation for the school feeding program and all this with that commitment of the private sector, of the productive sector.”

The companies that contributed to the project are Sumicol and Alion of the Corona group, the Territory Renewal Agency (ART), the Ministry of National Education and Fiduprevisora impacting 11,935 students: 1,050 in San Francisco, 2,391 in San Luis, 5,188 in Sonsón and 3,306 in Amalfi.
