With a massive attendance of the public, the first evening of election and coronation of the 63rd version of the Bambuco Festival in San Juan and San Pedro was held, held at the Jorge Villamil Cordovez Music Park.
Around 5:00 pm, the election and coronation evening began, resulting in the winner of Heirs of Tradition 2024. It is noteworthy that the event was loaded with various folklore samples that made those present dance.
A total of 25 candidates from the different communes and townships of the city were selected through the Sampedrina rounds to participate in the Heirs of Tradition contest, which demonstrated all the cultural passion through the majestic Sanjuanero Huilense.
“In the Heirs of Tradition contest we had a wonderful party, the entire Neiva came to the music park, more than 10,000 spectators from here, each of them accompanying their candidate,” said Tania Peñafiel, Secretary of Culture.
María de los Ángeles Rodríguez from the Diego de Ospina neighborhood took the title of queen and in addition to the crown she received a prize of 2,700,000 pesos from the Ministry of Culture, a bonus of 300,000 pesos from Papelería Cartagena and a bonus one night for two people at the Yararaka boutique hotel.
Sarith Naomi Maya from Fortalecillas became Vicereina and Maidy Liceth Bejarano from the El Caguán district finished as Princess.
