During his intervention, the uniformed man said that: “What is happening in the Troncal, in Palomino and in the jurisdiction of Santa Marta, we found out about a civic strike, There is more than a civic strike, there are clearly illicit interests of some people who are instrumentalizing the communities. They have been hurt by the capture of alias ‘Muñeca’ and alias ‘El Menor’, who will have to answer for crimes such as drug trafficking, conspiracy to commit a crime,” the general said.

For their part, the population rejected such statements, ensuring that the colonel is unaware of the agreements signed by the national government with the peasant communities of the Sierra Nevada for the lifting of the civic strike.
Through a letter addressed to President Gustavo Petro, they stated that after the meeting with Franklin Castañeda, director of Human Rights of the Ministry of the Interior, it was made explicit that no members, spokespersons were present in the civic strike. nor representatives of the armed group outside the law.
