You were late? Large traffic jam occurred today in the north and south accesses to La Serena

A large traffic jam occurred this Monday morning at the northern and southern entrances to the city of La Serena, generating significant inconvenience and delays for drivers and collective transportation.

The work on the road, which extends from the beginning of the Japonés Park to the Puertas del Mar mall walkway, is due to two sinkholes formed by the recent atmospheric river that affected the conurbation during the days of Thursday the 13th and Friday the 14th of May.

These works have caused great traffic congestion, mainly affecting those trying to access the city to meet their work schedules.

Drivers expressed frustration at the situation, noting that the delays are affecting their punctuality at work and other activities.

Collective transportation was also severely impacted, with buses facing significant delays, which further complicated mobility at peak times.

It is expected that the repair work on the sinkholes will be completed as soon as possible to alleviate the situation and restore the normal flow of traffic on the approaches to La Serena.
