During the weekend of the Father’s Day celebration, the Tunja Metropolitan Police confirmed that two homicides were recorded in their jurisdiction: One in Tunja and another in Toca.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Carlos Cárdenas, deputy commander (e) of the Metropolitan Police, intolerance and excessive consumption of intoxicating beverages are the possible factors in these cases.
In Tunja, in the middle of a dispute, the death of a person occurs and the capture of the possible aggressor, who is in custody in the medical center of the capital of Boyacá, while, in Toca, several men attack a citizen with a sharp weapon. of foreign nationality, who was transferred to a healthcare center where he died due to the severity of his injuries.
“The alleged aggressor was identified and at this time search and identification work is being carried out to ensure that he is placed at the disposal of the competent authority,” said the officer.
On the other hand, Major Julián Briceño, operational commander of citizen security (e), pointed out that during the week 16 arrests were made, 172 summonses were applied and 1,305 requests were attended to.
“Among the most relevant arrests we have three by court order for the crimes of domestic violence and attempted homicide, three for theft from people and two for personal injuries,” he confirmed.
In this way, he also made the call to citizens due to the school recess that began this June 17, where criminals take advantage of the naivety of domestic workers and elderly people.
