Neighbors gathered at Parque Lineal Sur to take part in the city’s festivities. “It’s a day of celebration. We are in all the celebrations for the 211 years of the city and it also means valuing these public spaces that are very beautiful,” highlighted Mayor Rosario Romero. There were musical shows, an entrepreneurs’ fair and various gastronomic offers.

The municipal president also highlighted “the work of different entrepreneurs who took advantage of these activities and we took the opportunity to show the art of the region, people participated dancing and the residents of this area of ​​the city enjoyed the day,” said Romero, during her visit. to Parque Lineal Sur, this Monday afternoon.

This was the second meeting of the cycle of decentralized festivals in the city to celebrate the 211 years that will be celebrated on June 25 and, in that sense, the Mayor expressed that “we have tried to get the Municipality to open spaces in different places to show part of history.”

The objective of this series of celebrations in different parts of Paraná is to encourage meetings between neighbors, promote artistic, gastronomic and craft expressions that identify them. This Monday, the celebration took place in the Parque Lineal Sur, where residents from the surrounding neighborhoods attended.

The Secretary of Education, Culture and Citizen Coexistence, Nadia Bilat, commented: “The truth is that the push of the neighbors has really made this a real party. It is a proposal that has to do with the possibility of the city’s residents coming to a day full of culture, history, and identity, because precisely the idea is to celebrate the city’s birthday in different neighborhoods in order to value the identity of the Paranaense.”

For her part, Councilor Luisina Minni remarked that “from the Deliberative Council we have declared the city’s anniversary month of interest within the framework of the 211 years and also the 170 years that Paraná was the Capital of the Argentine Confederation.” She then referred to the activity in the Parque Lineal Sur and valued the municipal proposal that allows stallholders to offer their products to the people of Parana. “Decentralizing activities means generating greater democracy for everyone.”

Present were the Undersecretary of Culture, Joaquín Arijón; the Undersecretary of Citizen Coexistence, Yamina Bainella; and officials from different municipal areas.

The voices of the artists

The folklore group Proyecto Peña made the audience dance as they approached the Parque Lineal Sur. Its singer, Verónica de Mondesert, expressed that they felt “happy to have been summoned by the Municipality. The contribution of the State in these proposals is valuable.”

“The musician Andrés Vega highlighted the Municipal contribution to this type of shows, which not only generate work for the artists, but also for the fairground vendors.”

The groups Las Tutucas, Estilo Vargas, La Montrull and Súper Banda Estrella also performed on stage. In addition, artistic numbers such as Carol Villalba: La Tapecita del Acordeón were presented; and the Luis Ramón Samaniego show.

The entrepreneurs

Candela, a young entrepreneur, presented her textile accessories stand called Galina Diseños and said: “I had a good day of sales, many people came. The neighbors and the Municipality generally accompany us and it is a nice opportunity for us.”

For her part, Olga, who has a regional crafts stall, valued “the space that the Municipality gives us entrepreneurs, the fair is very nice, it is very good to exhibit our products.”

Repercussions from neighbors

The holding of the festival in the Parque Lineal Sur was a collaborative work with institutions, social organizations, local groups and neighborhood commissions. In this context, the president of the Garden of the Americas neighborhood commission, Marina Celsi, recalled that “since this Park was inaugurated we have been organizing all these entrepreneur fairs that, at the beginning, there were 5 or 10 of us, but it grew and this “Once with the support of the Municipality we have a party for all the neighbors.” She also highlighted “the presence of entrepreneurs from Hasenkamp, ​​Rosario del Tala, La Paz, San Benito and of course from Paraná; It’s like it’s grown a lot,” she concluded.

In turn, the head of the Santa Lucía neighborhood commission, Alicia Glauser, said she was “happy because there was a good turnout of people, it was a beautiful afternoon and surrounded by entrepreneurs. These events are clearly a highly necessary public policy.”
