- This is the “Organic Tree and Garden Factory”, carried out by the students of IPEM N°160 “Hipólito Vieytes”, from the city of Córdoba.
- Through the Manos program, tools for working the land were delivered.

Within the framework of Hands Program and Environment Month, an environmental action day was held with fourth, fifth and sixth year students of IPEM N°160 “Hipólito Vieytes”.
The activity took place in the Rubén Américo Martí square, in the Alto Alberdi neighborhood, and consisted of planting lapachos in different sectors of this green space.
Accompanied by their teachers, the students applied different knowledge when placing the specimens in the designated places. This is one of the activities that are part of their “Plant Factory and Organic Garden” project, through which they carry out different actions: germination of natives, reforestation of public spaces, composting and food cultivation.
At the initiative of the members of the Student Center, the young people requested a contribution of tools to work the land and a wheelbarrow, which were granted to them through the program Hands from the Córdoba Joven Agency.
“The support of the program is very important Hands, because it helps us work on the whole issue of global warming, and to be able to make our contribution to dealing with this problem.”said Diamela Molina, a sixth-grade student.
For his part, the president of the Córdoba Joven Agency, José Ignacio Scotto, valued the students’ initiative and the fact that their objective was “for the good of the entire community”.
“We want to be part of proposals that involve students, teachers, neighbors and society as a whole. “This is how we are building, little by little, the Córdoba of the new times”he added.
The official was accompanied by the member of the Board of Directors, Nahuel Escobar.
About the Manos program
It is an initiative of the Córdoba Joven Agency that aims to connect young people with their needs and those of their communities, through actions that provide well-being, generate links, deepen knowledge and value their commitment as members of society.
It encourages youth participation through a process that presents different stages: the detection of demands in their advocacy media, the construction of a project that responds to these demands and the management of the resources necessary to carry it out.
The Córdoba Joven Agency receives requests, advises, coordinates and provides support so that these projects are carried out.
