Alfredo Cornejo promulgated the law that created the Permanent School Fund, which will be fed with the money from the alienation, rental or sale of the movable and immovable property of vacant inheritances.

The resulting money will be used for infrastructure improvements in buildings dependent on the General Directorate of Schools (DGE). In addition, it also establishes that there is the possibility that the Government grants budgetary reinforcements to this fund.

“The money from the Permanent School Fund must be used exclusively for lto land acquisition, construction, repair, maintenance and equipment of school buildings, guaranteeing a specific, federal and strategic allocation of income to strengthen the educational infrastructure in the Province”, explains decree 1,163 of the Ministry of Education, published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette.

The rule gives the power to the organization led by Tadeo García Zalazar to carry out transactions, either through bidding or public auction those assets that belong to the DGE, such as those that are the product of inheritances that have not been claimed.

Additionally, he created the RAsset registry of the Permanent School Funda place where the properties and other assets that are incorporated into the DGE’s assets will be identified, which is currently made up of 39 buildings, whose value is around 4 billion pesos.

On the other hand, it summons the banks and financial entities that “provide information on those deceased holders with bank accounts that have remained inactive for periods greater than six (6) months after the death occurred”.
