The Metropolitan Police of Neiva, in order to guarantee the safety of its own and tourists, reinforced its human and technological capacity, with the aim of attending to the different activities and events in the 63rd edition of the bambuco festival in San Juan and San Pedro .
This is how the general direction of the National Police ordered that a thousand uniformed men and women, from different units and specialties in the country, accompany the citizens who visit the bamboo capital of America at this time.
The uniformed officers will be located in different parts of the city such as: tourist areas, the Jorge Villamil music park, shopping centers and main roads, they will also be part of the devices designed to guarantee security in the different parades and events held during this epoch.
Likewise, checkpoints, registration of people, requests for background checks and presence in critical points of the city will be carried out.
