Moscow- A total of 33 Ukrainian attack drones were shot down in four provinces in western Russia today, the Ministry of Defense reported.

In the statement from the military entity published this Sunday on its official Telegram page, it is specified that the majority of these unmanned aerial vehicles, (28), were intercepted in the province of Bryansk; Two were also shot down in Smolensk; equal amount in Lipetsk; and one in Tula.

For his part, the governor of the Bryansk region, Aleksánder Bogomaz, reported that an attempted terrorist attack against that territory was carried out this Sunday.

Likewise, the official added that, thanks to the professionalism of the anti-aircraft defense, these attacks caused no victims or destruction, and all the drones were repelled, and all the targets eliminated.

Russian territories bordering Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Voronezh, regularly report shell hits, drone incursions and other attacks from across the border, forcing the population to seek refuge elsewhere.

Belgorod province has been the most affected, with several incursions by sabotage groups from Ukraine in recent months and continuous attacks on border municipalities with the use of multiple rocket launchers, mortars and drones.
