The Ministry of Government, through the Victim Assistance Center (CAV), will hold a work day focused on the challenges associated with electronic evidence in judicial files, the investigation of computer crimes and the impact of generative artificial intelligence.

Aimed at representatives of the different areas of State powers, the activity will take place in the Aula Magna of the National University of Comahue on Friday the 25th of this year starting at 8:30. Declared “of interest” by the Superior Court of Justice and the UNCo, the activity will have as its axes the adaptation of traditional media to new technologies and judicial recognition in virtual environments.

The lectures will be given by lawyers Juan Darío Veltani and Gustavo Atta, permanent consultants with extensive experience in the topics of cybercrime, computer law and intellectual property. Likewise, constitutional guarantees in the production of electronic evidence will be addressed, delving into federal law 5,326, which refers to the protection of personal data and prohibits the formation of databases or files of sensitive information of citizens. Added to the agenda of topics is the treatment of the regulatory framework applicable to Artificial Intelligence, judicial processes and regulatory limits, the reality created with it and its impact on the test.

The provincial director of the CAV Neuquén, Silvia Bascur, expressed in this regard: “In an increasingly interconnected world, the effects of cybercrime can be serious for its victims, given the speed and the great scope they can take. This is why this activity generates good expectations for us and we are sure that they will provide tools for prevention to all those present.”

Likewise, Carolina Luzuriaga, general director of the organization, added: “It is essential to highlight the legal importance of electronic evidence, the advantages and challenges of using AI from open sources and privacy, and what capabilities we need to develop to combat the crime”. We want to highlight that Dr. Ignacio Oller will be present, who has worked a lot and was the one who achieved the presence of professionals Veltani and Atta, who will speak at the event at no cost to the provincial State.”

Although the training is intended mainly for government areas and institutions linked to the topic, interested parties are informed that they may register until the quota is filled, through the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d /e/1FAIpQLScn2wZ6ScL1cSHbR8Zq6rglJeSM2qDMPEgGoBCpFY7EPE2yJQ/viewform
