The Mayor’s Office of Manizales, the Government of Caldas and 100% Huevos celebrate the team’s success in the Vuelta a Colombia 2024, standing out with a notable participation.
The cyclist from the Caldense team Yesid Pira won the demanding stage 8, in the mythical Alto de Minas, in addition to second place in the Apia, Risaralda stage. The cyclist became the 2024 Mountain Champion and reached fourth place in the general classification. Overall, the team placed sixth out of 22 participating teams.
With the outstanding participation of the cyclists Pira, Didier Chaparro, Jordan Tabares, Juan Vallejo, Yeison Rincón and Daniel Hoyos, led by Jhon Jairo Narváez and the manager, Jairo Acevedo, the team shone in the Vuelta a Colombia 2024, marking a milestone for the representatives of Caldense and Manizale cycling, who had not achieved a stage victory in many years. Although they recognize that there is still a long way to go, the resurgence of cycling in Manizales and Caldas is beginning, thanks to the support of the Mayor’s Office of Manizales, the Government of Caldas and the company 100% Huevos.
Now, the squad is preparing to compete in the Girardot Classic, the RCN Classic and the Vuelta al Valle. In addition, he maintains the hope of receiving an invitation to participate in the summer season in Spain.
