The Córdoba Prosecutor’s Office has sent a letter to the Investigative Court number 7 of the capital asking that the European Prosecutor’s Office investigate one of the causes being investigated within the first Infrastructure case of the Córdoba City Council, which affects European funds from the Development Strategy Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development (Edusi), with the alleged commission of a crime of bribery. This has been confirmed by judicial sources and has been reported by the digital newspaper ‘Cordópolis’, which details that the facts under investigation consist of the “alleged offer” by the then Councilor for Infrastructure of the Consistory, David Dorado, and the general coordinator of the Delegation, María Luisa Bueno, to a businessman from Córdoba. The exedil and the former coordinator are being investigated in the case. In this regard, the meeting between these three people allegedly occurred in August 2020 in a restaurant. During the same, Dorado and Bueno would have proposed to this businessman that he establish different companies with front men, given that the granting of Edusi funds to the City Council was imminent with which the City Council would carry out minor works in the area of Infrastructure. In this sense, these works were associated with part of the investment in advertising, an amount that would supposedly be distributed among the three of them. The businessman refused to do so.
