The Civil Guard has reportedin a statement, that the ‘Team @’ of the Córdoba Command has dismantled a criminal group composed of two people allegedly dedicated to carrying out technological scams. The investigations began in January, after receiving a complaint for the alleged usurpation of a person’s identity and the subsequent use of their data in the contracting of loans and telephone lines. For this reason, the injured parties received claims for debts generated.
In the initial phase of the investigation, the Benemérita managed to identify the alleged perpetrators, a man and a woman, who made, as a security measure, constant changes of address, although they operated from Córdoba. Once located, the agents established a device for his arrest, which took place recently. The Civil Guard proceeded to arrest him as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of usurpation of civil status and fraud.
The development of research has allowed solve a total of nine crimes: five were for usurpation of marital status and another four for fraud. The operation is still open, so new actions are not ruled out.
