The House of the Americas of Cuba rejected the coup d’état in process this Wednesday by military forces against the constitutional Government in Bolivia.

«From @CasAmericas we denounce the attack against the Bolivian people and their democracy. We fully support President @LuchoXBolivia. No to the coup d’état!», says the message from the cultural institution on the social network X.

This Wednesday, the president of that nation, Luis Arce, denounced irregular movements of members of the Army, given the unusual presence of soldiers who closed Plaza Murillo, the political epicenter of La Paz, the capital.

According to the Prensa Latina correspondent in that city, General Juan José Zúñiga, head of the Army, assured that together with three commanders he prepared to take the presidential house and change the cabinet, while the military launched gases at the population, concentrated around to the square.

Former President Evo Morales has called for a strike and road closures against the ongoing coup attempt, state-run Bolivia TV reported.
