It is the most viewed science fiction film on streaming but also one of the worst sequels released

It is no secret that Zack Snyder is betting big on a space science fiction saga that wants to be widely remembered, unfortunately the first two films released have been destroyed by criticism, especially the second part, which was even worse than the first film. We talk about Rebel Moon (Part Two): The warrior who leaves marks.

What Rebel Moon is about (Part Two)

After the events of the first film, the sequel resume Kora’s journey in his attempt to clear his name for a mysterious past, but this time The rebels must be ready for war. “As the rebels prepare to combat the ruthless forces of the Homeworld, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge… and legends are born”says the official synopsis.

The film is completely Zack Snyder’s formula: an impressive photograph marred by endless CGI and slow motionand although the story has moments of amazing action, it still has a weak script and too many characters that do not end up uniting a universe with a lot of potential that aspires to be the next Star Wars, but so far it has fallen far short of what was expected.

It’s the most watched of the week, but critics destroyed the film

The film debuted with only 17% approval on Rotten Tomatoes. This is even a lower score than the first film which scored only 21%, and even worse, Rebel Moon (Part Two) became Zack Snyder’s worst rated moviebut curiously, public approval remains above 50%.

The truth is that the tape is in the top number one of the most viewed films, and although critics hated the production, Zack Snyder’s fans have kept the saga’s reception afloat. It has not yet been revealed if there will be a third part, but the director still has plans for make up to six tapes,

While Zack Snyder’s other films arrive and we wait for the space saga to take off, you can enjoy Rebel Moon (Part Two): The warrior who leaves marks, at no additional cost to the subscription Netflix.
