The Internet can be a fantastic place in which to have fun, acquire knowledge or interact with other Internet users, but its paths can also be full of dangers, such as those that have lurked after hacking by alleged scammers through promotions of new cryptocurrencies that would have attacked the Metallica’s official Twitter accountthe social network now known as x.

This attack would have started in the early hours of yesterday, Tuesday June 25with an avalanche of tweets promoting an alleged collaboration with Ticketmaster for a “new dynamic token on the Solana platform set to revolutionize the way you experience online events and purchases”pointing to the “metal” label as an identifier of this cryptocurrency.

Users of the platform and fans of Metallica were quick to question these messages and sound the alarm, something that has continued when another party involved, the company MoonPaywho was pointed out as part of this promotion, has ruled out having anything to do with it, warning that his company is not behind “metal”, also doing so with a certain grace for the band’s followers: “If someone is offering you a “metal” token, they are not the “puppet master”, they are the scam master! Guard your keys well and “ride the flow” responsibly!”

This scam attempt has recalled the one that Metallica also suffered related to cryptocurrencies with the announcement of the album ’72 Seasons’ and its world tour, topics that soon became a prominent trend in X, arousing the interest of scammers to try to take advantage of the moment by launching giveaways, live events and unofficial channels about alleged Metallica cryptocurrencies. The band even published a statement to alert their followers of this attempted scam.

Back to strictly musical matters, the leg of the tour that will bring Metallica to our country has already begun. The two nights scheduled in Madrid for the tour will finally arrive in the imminent month of July. ‘M72’. With the tickets for both nights already sold outthe next notice arrived for the day of Friday 12th, which will have the participation of Architects and Mammoth WVH as opening acts, whose tickets are also close to being sold out definitively. Something that will not be surprising to happen on a few dates also for the day of the sunday 14which will complete the actions of Five Finger Death Punch and Ice Nine Kills. The presentation of the album ’72 Seasons’ in Madrid is going to become a milestone in the city’s history. The dwindling number of tickets left on sale are still available at LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.es.
