the Geely Galaxy Starship is quite a statement

At the 2024 Beijing Motor Show, the third member of Geely’s Galaxy family will be officially presented: the Starship, a showcar that when it goes into production will be positioned as the brand’s new flagship.

It is a 100% electric large SUV, with a body more than 5.2 meters long and is built on Geely’s GEA architecture.

Although they did not go into details regarding performance, this model debuts Geely’s 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive, which has just approved an efficiency of 90.04% in China.

Let’s talk about design, because the Galaxy Starship sticks to the original “Ripples of Light” design.

The front is very tall, has a closed and rounded grille, and narrow LED lights on both sides. It also adds the integrated luminous front face that will debut on the Galaxy E8. It is a micro-hole laser luminous technology, which can provide lighting effects such as welcome and farewell, water flowing from left to right, water jumping, musical show, and more.

The silhouette is slender bodywork and the window contours are decorated with chrome, creating a high-end feeling. In addition, it allows the full side windows to open upwards, in the shape of a gull wing. At the rear there is a spoiler integrated into the roof and the rear lights also take on a three-dimensional shape.

The model aIt applies Geely’s best technologies, such as the new generation Thor hybrid electric system, AI smart speakers with surround sound, AI smart seats, digital chassis, artificial intelligence and cloud software, among others.

Being a showcar, its interior was not exhibited, which is surely still being worked on by the brand before reaching production.

There are no more details, but it is undoubtedly a model that will attack the most premium brands in China.
