Báez beat Carballés in Geneva

Sebastián Báez, fifth favorite in the Geneva tournament, overwhelmed Roberto Carballésnumber 62 in the ATP ranking, with a resounding 6-3 and 6-0 and qualified for the quarterfinals.

The match, which was resolved in one hour and twelve minutes, featured five breaks of serve, all materialized by the Argentine, who saved the six break points he had against.

The Spaniard had a solid 88% of serves with the first serve in the first set, but it was not enough to maintain it as he lost it twice.

In the second, it dropped to 59%, which condemned the Spanish tennis player, who could not add any games, and in just twenty-three minutes, he was defeated by a crushing 6-0.

The South American, winner this year in Santiago and Rio de Janeiro to raise the prizes in his history to six, he will face the winner of the match between the Austrian Sebastian Ofner, 45th in the ATP ranking and the Norwegian Casper Ruud, number 7 and second seed in the tournament, for a place in the semifinals.
