SAN FRANCISCO — Mickey Moniak had three hits, Tyler Anderson limited San Francisco to one run in just over five innings and the Los Angeles Angels beat the Giants 8-6 on Friday.

Anderson (6-6), who pitched for the Giants in 2020, has held opponents to one run in five of his last six starts.

The Angels scored once in the third inning, three in the third and four in the fourth. San Francisco scored five runs in the eighth.

In the third inning, Taylor Ward scored from first on a double to right field by Kevin Pillar, after Auston Slater’s throw to second was deflected. Moniak, who has hit six games – his best streak of the season – drove in a pair of runs with a double to make the score 4-0.

Zack Neto contributed a four-corner hit to produce two runs in the fourth inning. Moniak also hit a triple and scored in that inning to make the game 8-1.

Puerto Rican Heliot Ramos hit a three-run home run for San Francisco. Elo did not prevent the defeat of Spencer Howard (0-1).

For the Angels, Venezuelan Luis Rengifo 0-5.

For the Giants, Puerto Rican Ramos is 2-for-3 with one run scored and three RBIs. Venezuelans Wilmer Flores 4-1 with one run scored, Thairo Estrada 4-1 with one run scored and one RBI. Cuban Jorge Soler 3-1 with one scored.
