Kylian Mbappé, forward of the French team, showed this Sunday his rejection of political extremes, in reference to Marine Le Pen’s party (National Rally), and asked his compatriots to vote in the next legislative elections to prevent the extreme from governing right.
“We are at a crucial moment for our country. The Eurocup is important in our career, but we are citizens and we are not disconnected from what is happening in our own country. “We are in an unprecedented situation and at an important moment,” he highlighted.
“We are a generation that can make history. We know that the extremes are at the doors of our power. I call on everyone to vote, to become aware of the situation. We have the need to identify with our values of respect. I hope we make the right decision,” he said.
Mbappé offered his most committed and political appearance before the media and wanted to address especially the younger people in France, to whom he wanted to send a message: “There are young people who abstain. Your voice does change things. I want to be proud to defend a country that represents my values. This is more important than tomorrow’s game because the situation in the country is different. “I believe in the values of mixing, tolerance and respect,” he noted.
