In December 2023, a long list of Colo Colo players became known who appeared involved in a case of systematic delivery of irregular class B licenses in the commune of Nancagua, in the Sixth Region. Through a Mega report, it was initially known that 22 footballers were being investigated. Some from the current squad and others with previous steps. However, During this day it was reported that this number increased to 80 people and it is not only athletes who were involved.

This Monday, the High Complexity Prosecutor of O’Higgins, Carlos Fuentes, provided new information on the proceedings being carried out by the Public Ministry. “They were summoned to testify as defendants, because they appear to have been granted licenses in the commune of Nancagua, apparently providing false records and that is what we want to clarify”he began by pointing out at a press point.

Regarding the identity of the accused, the judicial authority explained the reasons for not disclosing it yet. “That is in a reserve, because we want to prevent crowds of people from coming here to the barracks and I prefer to keep that information”he detailed, as a security measure, along with adding that “it depends on them (those involved) whether they will continue to be charged or not.”

In any case, during the day eight players from Colo Colo showed up to testify at the PDI headquarters in the O’Higgins Region. Among them, Óscar Opazo, Maximiliano Falcón and Alan Saldivia.

The prosecutor was also consulted about the possible sanctions that the accused could receive. In that sense, he preferred caution. “We are getting a lot ahead of ourselves in terms of what they risk in terms of punishment, “But we are investigating the falsification of documents from the point of view of providing false records.”he limited himself to expressing.

Regarding the first background, Fuentes explained that the investigation expanded to more people. “First the complaint arrives, there is a seizure of 18 folders. We have seized more, we fear 80 folders. Among them are the players, but there are also other people,” he said.

Along these lines, he deepened that “There is an investigation with 80 folders. That is, there are 80 people. Between players and people who are not players”. There, he was asked if Aníbal Mosa, president of Blanco y Negro, was among those investigated and charged. “That’s how it is”, was the blunt response of the prosecutor, who commented that he still cannot refer to the family environment of those involved.
