Helldivers 2 will implement a clan system called “Platoons” for players, as leaked in the latest game update

The Helldivers 2 community has a lot to look forward to in the future of the game, as Arrowhead Studios, developers of the title, have always expressed their commitment to providing updates to keep the game alive for years to come. And within that idea, a recent leak suggests that Helldivers 2 could be getting a massive clan system at some point.

And while overall the game is currently in good shape, with things to be excited about in the future, such as the long-awaited arrival of the Illuminati, everything Arrowhead has planned internally is unknown. For now, update 01.000.402 is available with a new set of fixes, which has been received positively by the community. And now, a leak suggests the possible arrival of a clan system.

On the HellDiversLeaks subreddit, user IronS1ghts shared screenshots of the game’s code that suggest the implementation of a clan system called “Platoons.” The images show options for creating a new platoon and joining an existing one. Players will be able to create a squad name, edit it, select members, kick members, and review invitations.

In the comments of the current leak, some are speculating that platoons could be scrapped content, but this seems unlikely as details regarding clans appear to have been updated. Although this is a recent leak, it is worth remembering that a few months ago information about a “Clan Stratagem” shared on YouTube by Venatix was leaked.

There’s no guarantee that the clan system called Platoons will definitely come to the game, but it does appear to be in development with no estimated release date. Without a doubt, its implementation would be fantastic for Helldivers 2.

Teamwork in Helldivers 2 is a key role in defending Guardian Democracy

Speaking of the idea of forming groups of players, a Helldivers 2 player has emphasized on Reddit the importance of teamwork to achieve success in the game. And although the title allows individual play and even with small groups, its design optimized for cooperative games of up to four players makes the experience much more satisfying when working as a team.

User Glitchy_Boss_Fight posted a thread on Reddit highlighting the advantage of playing alongside others: “Teamwork is key, folks. The idea is to have a team with a wide variety of options and coordinate strategies so everyone can complete the tasks.” objectives without problems.”

While finding a solid team playing with strangers can be a challenge, the experience is greatly improved by working with regular teammates. Getting together with a regular group to jump into missions guarantees a better gaming experience.

His text has been very well received by the community, with players responding that “the best feeling in the world is when there are brief moments of synergy. I love hearing teammates use the ‘thank you’ communicator or ask in chat if it’s safe to call extraction. The game could have all the OP weapons possible, it could allow us to play as the Doomslayer, but it would choose a coherent team at any time.

Idea shared by another Helldiver, who says: “I just had a game where a lot of the stats we brought in had failed. There are no backpacks other than spears and supplies, and no turrets. Everything appears as question marks. Suffice it to say that most of us had nothing, myself and one other only weighed 500kg. But working together as a team we absolutely did it.”

So if you are one of those “lone wolves” who have always preferred to face insects or robots without help, perhaps it is time to give the option of entering into battle with other Helldivers the opportunity.
