Casio launches G-SHOCK with training records and a more comfortable fit

Slim and compact design, ideal for everyday use

Norderstedt, June 18, 2024

Casio Europe today announced the launch of the GBD-300, a new addition to the G-SQUAD sports line of the G-SHOCK family of shock-resistant watches. These new watches feature a slim, compact profile that offers an even more comfortable fit, as well as convenient features for tracking runs and other training regimens.

The G-SHOCK first saw the light of day in 1983, the result of a passion for creating a durable watch that would not break even if it was dropped. Since then, Casio has continued to introduce functional, structural and design advancements to the brand’s extraordinary shock resistance. Equipped with data tracking functions, the G-SQUAD sports line from the G-SHOCK brand has proven to be very popular.

The new GBD-300 features a simple octagonal shape in a slim, compact design that offers an even better fit on the wrist. This shock-resistant watch comes packed with convenient sports-oriented features that track distance, step count, and more. The slim profile is achieved with a shock-resistant structure that places the center case between two separate bezels. The rear bumper bezel, with its bowl-shaped curvature that wraps around the case, not only increases shock resistance, but also helps reduce contact with the back of the hand. The flexible coating placed on the bottom, where the soft urethane band meets the bezel, follows the movement of the wrist when worn for an even more comfortable fit. The parts of the strap that come into contact with the skin have a dotted texture. This prevents the band from slipping, as well as from sticking to the skin due to perspiration, to provide maximum comfort.

The GBD-300 incorporates, among others, the following features:

Shock resistance

Bluetooth

Solar operation (Tough Solar® by CASIO)

Training functions such as distance, speed and accelerometer

Pedometer and monthly data analysis

World time function

Stopwatch and 4 alarms

phone finder

Led light

Water resistant up to 20 bar

Size: 48.9 x 47.4 x 14.9mm

Total weight: approx. 60g
