A walk took place this Friday Germany in view of Scotland in the opening game of the Euro 2024. The host of the tournament beat its rival 5-1 at the Allianz Arena stadium in Munich.
The goals for the Germans were from Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz, Niclas Fullkrug and Emre Can. In Scotland Antonio Rudiger scored against him and Ryan Porteous was sent off.
In the first half, Germany took advantage of the spaces in the Scottish defense and just 10 minutes into the game, Joshua Kimmich received from the right and there he crossed it to Florian Wirtz who scored the first goal of the Euro with a strong right foot.
Nine minutes later, Germany scored the second on their account in a play in which Kai Havertz received from the left and there gave it to Musiala who smashed the goal past goalkeeper Angus Gunn.
Before the end of the first half, the Germans would add another goal on the scoreboard with Havertz who sent it to save from the twelve steps after Porteous’ previous foul on Gundogan.
In the second half, Germany did not let up. In the 57th minute, Wirtz almost scored the fourth in a lofted cross that came to him in the area and there he took a right hand that went over the top.
However, in the 70th minute, Musiala passed it to Fullkrug and the Dortmund striker smashed Gunn’s goal to make it 4-0. Five minutes later, the attacker almost scored his double, but the referee ruled it offside.
In the end, Scotland was able to score on the scoreboard in an unfortunate play in a cross where Antonio Rudiger sent a header into his own goal. However, in addition, Germany hit the Scottish goal again this time with Emre Can who took a mid-range shot to the goalkeeper’s far post.
With this result, Germany scores group A with three points and in the next game they will face Hungary while Scotland is last without points and will face Switzerland.
