This action romantic comedydirected by Hugo Martín Cuervo, has the participation of Maggie Civantos, Adriana Torrebejano, the special collaboration of Fabiola Guajardo and the cast is completed by Elia Galera, Pino Montesdeoca and Antón Lofer.

Filming in Tenerife

This feature film, whose entire filming will take place in Tenerife, is a story of forbidden and ill-timed love, whose passion is framed in full activity of a volcano, in a simile of the relationship between two people as opposite and shocking as two tectonic plates in continuous friction. ‘Under a Volcano’ is a refreshing mix of genres, a non-stop plot that will combine the story about two lovers and the inevitable countdown to a cataclysm with unpredictable consequences.

“I am delighted to return to Spain to embark on my second project in this country and happy to do so with my first film together with Secuoya Studios and a first-rate technical and artistic team led by Eduardo Campoy and David Martínez,” emphasizes William Levy.

under a volcano‘ tells the story of Mario Torres, captain and military pilot who arrives in Tenerife when the volcano eruption seems to have subsided. Dani, an expert volcanologist, fears an imminent violent reactivation. This leads to a conflict with the scientific committee of the agency in charge. With that threat to the town of Garachico, the love and passion that is born between them is as inevitable as any natural catastrophe. Once the threat is confirmed, both must fight against the volcano and their own feelings.

‘Under a Volcano’ is the latest film developed by Secuoya Studios together with producer Eduardo Campoy. The studio, together with Álamo Producciones and A Contracorriente Films, has just released ‘La Bandera’, directed by Hugo Martín Cuervo, in theaters, and on June 28 it will be the turn of ‘Invasión’, directed by David Martín-Porras.
